Who are some role models in your life?
My biggest role models are my dad and my older brother. I’ve watched my dad work hard every day and lead by example, and I’ve watched my brother compete in track and field at Indiana University. Seeing their discipline and commitment has shaped how I approach football and life.
What artists do you listen to pregame, to get you hyped up?
My favorite pregame artist is Rio Da Young OG.
What are the strengths of your game?
I like to play fast and physical. I’m confident reading plays, filling gaps, and making tackles in space. I try to be versatile, whether that’s coming downhill or dropping into coverage.
What is your favorite memory of your career?
My favorite memory of my career is winning the state championship.
Who is the best player you have ever played with or played against in your career?
The best player I’ve ever played with is Jimmy Finley, who is now a DB at NIU.
What is some advice you would give to an aspiring D1 athlete?
Control what you can every day: your effort, your attitude, and how coachable you are. Work when no one’s watching. Talent matters, but consistency, discipline, and being a great teammate are just as important.
If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would it be?
I would travel to Italy because of the food.
How old were you when you fell in love with the game?
I was in 3rd grade when I fell in love with football.
If you could meet one sports hero, who would it be?
I would want to meet Ray Lewis because of his tenacity and love for the game.
What is your favorite sports moment, as a fan?
As a fan, my favorite sports moment was when unranked Purdue upset No. 2 ranked Ohio State in 2018.
