Columbia´s Next Star Small Forward: Arop Arop

Arop Arop is a 2022 recruit who plays Small Forward at Minnesota Prep Academy. Arop is ranked among one of the Top recruits in the nation and is ranked among one of the Top Small Forwards in the nation as well. In addition, Arop is listed among one of the Top recruits in the state of Texas and is listed among one of the Top Small Forwards in the state of Texas. Arop Arop is committed to play at Columbia this fall.

Growing up, were you inspired by any NBA Players?

I was inspired by my favorite player LeBron, his story and his come up is amazing.

What high school is your biggest rival?

Boswell high school is our school’s biggest rival.

What songs do you listen to pregame, to get you hyped up?

 I listen to a lot of Gunna, Future, & Lil Baby before games. But sometimes I switch it up with some pregame Bruno here and there.

What is your offseason training like?

My off-season training consist of a lot of performance training, so things to help me get more mobile, strengthen my body with things like my hips, my explosive, & stuff like that. It also consist of a lot of skill work on the court like tightening my handle & getting a smoother jumper.

What is your favorite memory of your career?

My favorite sports memory is probably when I caught a posterizer in a district game against North Crowley.

What parts of your high school game, do you hope to transition to the college level?

What made Columbia stand out from other schools?

Columbia is one of the top schools in the country so it’s always good to have something to lay back on. But what made them stand out is they really want me to achieve my goal of being a pro one day.

If you could meet one sports hero, who would it be?

Lebron

What is your favorite sports moment, as a fan?

Watching LeBron overcome the 3-1 lead to beat the Warriors
