Growing up, were you inspired by any NBA Players?

Growing up i was inspired and tried to model my game after Brandon Jennings and James Harden because we’re both lefty’s and our game is similar somewhat as well as Kyrie Irving and Kyle Anderson as I was around them a lot coming up and seen them play and workout a lot when they were in high school .

What high school is your biggest rival?

I don’t really have a rival right now as I transferred from my high school in Jersey and we didn’t play our rivals because of shortened Covid season , and here at Bishop Walsh we have a national schedule in a new league therefor , I treat all of these NIBC matchups as rivals as I’m trying to help establish this program as a national powerhouse with the help of my teammates and elite coaching staff headed by Dan Prete and Laffayette Dublin . We going to be different real soon stay tuned .

What songs do you listen to pregame, to get you hyped up?

Before the game i listen to a lot of Gunna, Lil Baby, Playboi Carti whole lotta red, wunna, stuff like that .

What is your offseason training like?

My off-season training consists of a lot of strength and conditioning early in the morning , speed and explosive training with my trainer Kumar Davis . I’m on the court twice a day sometimes 3x starting my day off working out with former NBA player and legendary NYC point god Andre Barrett teaching NBA level secrets and tricks and just sharpening me up . Working with him has really helped me see things on the court most don’t see at my age . I finish the day with my dad working on enhancing my skill set and Iq and a lot of shots and film study 3x a week I’m working out with Kyrie Irving , Kyle Anderson , and Isiaah Briscoe , my cousin Shaq Thomas and other local pros at Kyrie pro only workouts. Kyrie occasionally lets me lead the skill part of the workouts. The runs are elite. They helped me so much. There is nobody in hs that I can guard at the point guard position better than the matchups I get there . Kyrie , Briscoe , Sterling Gibbs , Myles Mack , Kyle Anderson etc .also do cross training/ boxing workouts in my hometown Paterson, NJ at the legendary Ike and Randy boxing gym. Boxing helps with my conditioning and mental toughness. Finally can’t forget lots of recovery workouts with my trainers and PT coaches at R Techniques in Roselle, NJ .

What is your favorite memory of your career?

My favorite memory/moment of my career or that has helped inspire and drive my career so far has probably been going to watch the Mcdonald’s All American Games in Chicago in 2015 seeing someone who i look up to Isaiah Briscoe there showing me it’s possible to be a All American. Went to every event and I enjoyed the practices mostly , just sitting on the court imagining me older in high school going at it in front of NBA scouts at McDonald’s practice and game .

Who is the best player you have ever played with or played against in your career?

The best teammates I probably played with would be Antonio Sellers and Dariq Whitehead. It was us 3 in the backcourt one summer. My guy Antonio was a stud and top 10 in class of 2022 but after his freshman year he ended up coming down with cancer, he’s still fighting it but he was one of the top guys in his class before that happened. Best person I played against was Kyrie Irving and Myles Mack . They play me like I’m their peer every time since I was young . One time Kyrie beat me in 1 on 1 and made me cry and I was 7 and I went to 5 star basketball camp playing up in 8th grade division and hit a game winner that same day and got mvp at end of week inspired and mad that I lost to him . He was trying to make me fall and all. My dad still has the footage of the 1 on 1.

My favorite foods are probably Soul Food & Spaghetti for a 2nd place tie 6 days out the week and 1st on Sunday . Chick-fil- A for a 1st place finish everyday but Sunday.

When did you realize you were talented at basketball?

I always been confident and thought and was told I was I talented. I’m in basketball family so everyone knows ball and they would all let me know and I’ve had a lot of success since I started playing at 5 years old , played up 2 and 3 grades my whole life which really helped me . So my production playing up really showed me I was talented but think i realized that this weekend when I scored 21 on the number one team in the country Montverde Academy and my early success in the NIBC that I could do it on the highest level consistently.

If you could meet one sports hero, who would it be?
