Bishop Gorman’s Next Star Defensive Back: Brayley Manning
Brayley Manning is a 2029 recruit who plays Cornerback at Bishop Gorman High School. Manning saw playing time as a freshman on one of the most premier teams in all of high school football. On a team loaded with talent, Manning was able to get snaps against some of the top competition across the country and will look to continue to do so as a rising sophomore. With highly touted defensive back Jett Washington on his way to Oregon, the secondary of Bishop Gorman’s defense is looking for a replacement, and that spot can look to be filled by the highly sought after sophomore. After just one season, Manning has gathered offers from some of the nations top schools, including Georgia, Oregon, Texas A&M and others.
Who are some role models in your life?
My role models are easy: my pops. He’s been there since day one, building my character and helping my love for the game, and my mom, helping me grow and stay grounded.
What artists do you listen to pregame to get you hyped up?
My go-to artists for pregame have to be a little bit of Nipsey Hussle, Rod Wave, and some YoungBoy.
What are the strengths of your game?
My strengths are that I can play fast, and I think I see the game and understand it at a high level, which helps me constantly.
What is your favorite memory of your career?
My favorite memory of my career was getting my first high school interception versus Centennial during my freshman season.
Who is the best player you have ever played with or played against in your career?
The best players I have ever played with have to be the DBs in my current defensive back room, like Kamil Loud and Hayden Stepp.
What is some advice you would give to an aspiring D1 athlete?
My advice is to stay consistent and never get complacent.
If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would it be?
If I could travel anywhere, it would probably be Greenland.
If you could meet one sports hero, who would it be?
Someone I want to meet is Kobe Bryant. I feel like he’s someone who really separated himself from everyone who ever played his sport.
What is your favorite sports moment, as a fan?
My favorite sports moment was when the Seahawks beat the Broncos in Super Bowl XLVIII.
