Buford’s Star Linebacker: Brayden Watson
Brayden Watson is a 3 Star recruit who plays Linebacker at Buford High School. Watson is ranked as the 595th best recruit in the nation and is ranked as a top 50 Linebacker in the nation as well. In addition, Watson is listed as a top 80 recruit in the state of Georgia and is listed as a top 15 Linebacker in the state of Georgia. He is committed to play at Michigan.
Who are some role models in your life?
My parents and sister for sure. My parents work so hard to provide us with what he have and my sister is my best friend and plays basketball at Ohio State. They impacted me the most.
What artists do you listen to pregame, to get you hyped up?
On game days, I typically listen to slower music. I still get nervous before every game so slower music clears my head, so like Rod Wave.
What are the strengths of your game?
I think I play with a high motor and can play in multiple spots on the field.
What is your favorite memory of your career?
My favorite memory was definitely winning the state championship last year.
Who is the best player you have ever played with or played against in your career?
Tyriq Green at Georgia and Bryce Perry-Wright were two of the best I have played with. Tennessee commits Derrick Baker and David Gabriel-Georges were some of the best l’ve played against.
What is some advice you would give to an aspiring D1 athlete?
I would say the little details matter and focus on the things you can control.
If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would it be?
I want to travel to South Africa, Alaska, and Costa Rica.
How old were you when you fell in love with the game?
I have always liked played football but I didn’t truly love the game until more recently. I would say sophmore year to now is when I’ve truly began to love it, because those are the most fun years l’ve had playing football.
If you could meet one sports hero, who would it be?
Honestly I would want to meet Tyreek Hill. I grew up watching his highlights and he seems to have a good energy about him.
What is your favorite sports moment, as a fan?
LeBron’s 3-1 comeback was my favorite for sure.
