Sean Kraft is a 3 Star recruit who plays Long Snapper at Asheville Christian Academy. Kraft is ranked among one of the top recruits in the nation and is ranked as the #1 Long Snapper in the nation as well. In addition, Kraft is listed as a top 70 recruit in the state of North Carolina. He is committed to play at Notre Dame.
Who are some role models in your life?
Some role models are, for sure, my parents and also Jesus.
What artists do you listen to pregame, to get you hyped up?
I go on both ends. I really enjoy some gospel, like Elevation Worship, but I’m also a big YoungBoy fan.
What are the strengths of your game?
I would say, for sure, my consistency, that every time, there is no question whether the snap will be a good ball. Also, my mentality when I’m in coverage and going for the tackle.
What is your favorite memory of your career?
My favorite memory was when Coach Freeman FaceTimed me to check up on me five seconds after I decided to commit to Notre Dame.
Who is the best player you have ever played with or played against in your career?
I would say Linkin Stevens. He doesn’t have the most offers, but he is all over the ball and is the definition of a good linebacker.
What is some advice you would give to an aspiring D1 athlete?
The most important thing is to never miss a day. Even if it’s just 30 minutes of stretching and some drill work or three hours of work plus conditioning, never miss a day.
If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would it be?
Across the coast of Galway, Ireland. My promise to myself is that if I make it to the NFL, I’ll buy a house there and live there.
How old were you when you fell in love with the game?
At 15 years old, I felt that God had put this in my life to serve Him, so I really committed to the game.
If you could meet one sports hero, who would it be?
JJ Jansen, just because I want to do everything he has done and be who he is.
What is your favorite sports moment, as a fan?
As a fan, it would have to be the Notre Dame entrance during a night game. Definitely a surreal experience that can’t be described.
