Sander Sahaydak is a 3 Star recruit who plays Kicker at Liberty High School. Sahaydak is ranked as the #1 Kicker in the nation and is ranked as a Top 40 recruit in the state of Pennsylvania. In addition, Sahaydak is a Blue/Grey All American. Sander Sahaydak is committed to play at Penn State next fall.

Growing up, were you inspired by any NFL Players?

Growing up looked up to Pat McAfee and Adam Vinatieri.

What high school is your biggest rival?

Freedom High School

What songs do you listen to pregame, to get you hyped up?

 I listen to a lot of Kanye and Kid Cudi

What is your offseason training like?

I try to kick 2 to 3 times a week and workout on the days I’m not kicking

What is your favorite memory of your high school career?

Breaking the conference field goal record with a 53 yarder

What parts of your high school game, do you hope to transition to the college level?

I hope to bring the composure and confidence I have now over to the college level.

What made Penn State stand out from other schools?

I loved how I got the opportunity to play for a team who’s committed to winning a national championship. Coach Franklin made sure to set a plan for my time there and how I will develop and become a part of their system. Being from Pennsylvania also played a big role in my decision.

What do you want to accomplish on and off the field during your time at Penn State?

On the field, I want to help my team win a national championship and as a personal goal I am working towards winning the Lou Groza award. Off the field I plan to get a degree in business.

If you could meet one sports hero, who would it be?

I’d want to meet Sebastian Janikowski.

What is your favorite sports moment, as a fan?

 My favorite sports moment was watching Penn State block Ohio State’s field goal attempt and return it for a touchdown that would eventually win the game in 2016.
