One Of The Top Sophomore Cornerbacks In Florida: Jamar Brinson

Jamar Brinson is a 2029 recruit who plays Cornerback at Miami Carol City High School. Before transferring to Carol Coty, Brinson spent his freshman season at Dillard (FL) in which he made an immediate impact, making 11 tackles, a sack, a forced fumble and most importantly 3 interceptions. His play on the field earned him Freshman All American honors from Rivals as well as saw him land offers from schools such as Alabama, Georgia and Texas.

My parents and Riq Woolen.

What artists do you listen to pregame to get you hyped up?
NoCap. I’ve been listening to NoCap for a while now. I like his music and the tone he has when rapping. It’s very touching and motivating.

What are the strengths of your game?
The strengths of my game are my physicality and my mindset. Both are important for my position because playing on the defensive side of the ball requires thinking quickly and making the right decisions.

What is your favorite memory of your career?
My favorite memory of my career was playing in my first high school game, where I caught two interceptions and helped move the ball up the field.

Who is the best player you have ever played with or played against in your career?
The best player I have played with is Nick Lennear.

What is some advice you would give to an aspiring D1 athlete?
Stay humble, hungry, and coachable.

If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would it be?
France.

How old were you when you fell in love with the game?
I was 7 years old when I fell in love with the game.

My favorite sports moment as a fan was when Michigan beat Ohio State.
