Wyoming Seminary’s Star Wide Receiver: Chief Montalvo
Chief Montalvo is a 2024 recruit who plays Wide Receiver at Wyoming Seminary. Montalvo is ranked among one of the top recruits in the class of 2024 and is ranked among one of the top Wide Receivers in the class as well. In addition, Montalvo is listed among one of the top recruits in the state of Pennsylvania and is listed among one of the top Wide Receivers in the state of Pennsylvania.
Growing up, were you inspired by any NFL Players?
I started football pretty late and didn’t watch too much when I was younger. However, I looked up to Julian Edelman because he is short and speedy and has a lot of grit.
What songs do you listen to pregame, to get you hyped up?
A whole lot of Lil Baby
What is your offseason training like?
This offseason I’ve been working with a Wide Receiver school out in Long Island. I’m in the gym 4 days a week, but I’m also really focusing on recovery and nutrition.
What is your favorite memory of your career?
My homecoming game is my favorite memory. I had 2 tds for 170 yds and it was on homecoming… and we were the underdogs.
How old were you when you started playing football?
I started playing football in seventh grade. However I didn’t get into tackle football until late 2020, and it was an amazing choice.
What is your favorite food?
I love to eat and make hamburgers.
When did you realize you were talented at football?
I remember throwing around with one of my old coaches, and I remember just going off. He said something like “man if you played with me back in high school we’d be a duo.” From there I realized maybe football was my thing.
If you could meet one sports hero, who would it be?
Jerry Rice, because his work ethic was incredible
What is your favorite sports moment, as a fan?
Rams vs Bengals and watching Cooper Kupp seal the deal at the end of the game.
