Trace Washington is a 3 Star recruit who plays Linebacker at Woodstock High School. Washington is ranked as the 465th best recruit in the nation and is ranked as a top 40 Linebacker in the nation as well. In addition, Washington is listed as a top 60 recruit in the state of Georgia and is listed as a top 10 Linebacker in the state of Georgia. He holds offers from schools such as Penn State, Florida State and Kentucky.
Who are some role models in your life?
Some role models in my life are my mom, my dad, and Marshawn Lynch. I’ve watched him my whole life growing up, and I’ve worn number 24 since 3rd grade because of him.
What artists do you listen to pregame, to get you hyped up?
I listen to two different artists: Daniel Caesar, to help me play smooth, and Lil Tony, to get me hyped.
What are the strengths of your game?
The strengths of my game are that I play fast, aggressive, and smart.
What is your favorite memory of your career?
My favorite memory of my career so far is either getting my first offer or winning the first game after going 0–20 my freshman year.
Who is the best player you have ever played with or played against in your career?
The best player I’ve played against is probably CJ Wiley or Ethan Baurber.
What is some advice you would give to an aspiring D1 athlete?
Some advice I would give to an aspiring D1 athlete is that grades matter more than you think, and you have to put in work outside of what you do within the school program.
If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would it be?
I’ve always wanted to travel to Paris.
How old were you when you fell in love with the game?
I first started playing football in kindergarten, and in 1st grade is when I realized I really love this sport.
What is your favorite sports moment, as a fan?
My favorite sports moment as a fan is anytime Georgia beats Alabama.
