West Ranch’s Star Forward: Andrew Meadow
Andrew Meadow is a 3 Star recruit who plays Power Forward at West Ranch High School. Meadow is ranked among one of the top recruits in the nation and is ranked as a top 40 Power Forward in the antion as well. In addition, Meadow is listed as a top 40 recruit in the state of California and is listed as the #4 Power Forward in the state of California. According to 247 Sports, his top offers are, Washington, San Diego State, and Washington State.
Growing up were you inspired by any NBA Players?
When I was growing up I was inspired by Chris Paul, he was my favorite player growing up and helped me fall in love with the game. I’ve also been inspired by many other players over the years.
What songs do you listen to pregame, to get you hyped up?
During pregame, I like to listen to a lot of Juice WRLD and Drake.
What is your offseason training like?
My offseason training consists of a lot of weight room training, speed work, injury prevention work, and of course a lot of basketball skills training.
What is your favorite memory of your career?
My favorite memory of my career so far would be hitting a game winner at Peach Jam last week in front of a big crowd and LeBron.
Who is the best player you have ever played with or played against in your career?
I would say the best player I’ve ever played against was Chet Holmgren at the WCE Elite 100 camp a few years back.
What was your reaction to getting your first offer?
When I got my first offer I was very excited and happy to know my hard work was paying off, but it also made me humble too and want to work even harder.
What is your favorite food?
I have a lot of foods I like, but my favorite I would say would be steak.
When did you realize you were talented at basketball?
I realized it during middle school after I had a 50 point game to win a championship. After that was when I really started taking my workouts more seriously and how I approached each day with the right mindset to get better every day.
If you could meet one sports hero, who would it be?
If I could meet one sports hero, I would say I would want to meet Luka Doncic or Chris Paul, I like Luka’s game a lot and try to take some things from him like playing at your own pace and the way he scores the ball, also Chris Paul because he made me fall in love with the game.
What is your favorite sports moment, as a fan?
My favorite sports moment as a fan would probably be being able to see NBA history be made each year.
