James Bethea is a 2027 recruit who plays Wide Receiver at Vanguard High School. Bethea is ranked among one of the top recruits in the class of 2027 and is ranked among one of the top Wide Receivers in the class as well. In addition, Bethea is listed among one of the top recruits in the state of Florida and is listed among one of the top Wide Receivers in the state of Florida. His top 10 schools are Georgia, Florida, Tennessee, Auburn, Miami, Kansas, Georgia Tech, UCF, Georgia Southern and Arkansas State.

Who are some role models in your life?
My mom, my godfather, and my coaches who pour into me day in and day out.

What artists do you listen to pregame, to get you hyped up?
Boosie, Lil Poppa, Tupac, and Rod Wave.

What are the strengths of your game?
I think my consistent effort, play after play, is one. Blocking, and being able to attack vertically despite my size. I play very big and have a great catch radius.

What is your favorite memory of your career?
My first ever varsity game during my freshman year.

Who is the best player you have ever played with or played against in your career?
I’ve played against many good players, but Justin Williams from Gainesville stands out.

What is some advice you would give to an aspiring D1 athlete?
Effort, school, and character—all three matter.

If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would it be?
Hawaii or Alaska.

How old were you when you fell in love with the game?
8 or 9 years old.

If you could meet one sports hero, who would it be?
Ray Lewis.

What is your favorite sports moment, as a fan?
When the Eagles won the Super Bowl in 2017.
