Timberline’s Star Center: AJ LaBeau
AJ LaBeau is a 2023 recruit who plays Center at Timberline High School. LaBeau is ranked among one of the top recruits in the nation and is ranked among one of the top Centers in the class as well. In addition, LaBeau is listed among one of the top recruits in the state of Idaho and is listed among one of the top Centers in the state of Idaho. He currently holds offers from Army, Air Force, and Idaho State.

What artists do you listen to pregame, to get you hyped up?
I would have to say Trippie Redd and other rappers similar to that. Sometimes, if I’m really feeling pumped, then I’ll put some Lil Darkie on.
What are the strengths of your game?
I would have to say my ability to have touch around the rim, rebound, defense, and being able to sprint the floor.
What is your favorite memory of your career?
My favorite memory of my career is probably when my junior high team won the championship back to back years.
Who is the best player you have ever played with or played against in your career?
I have played against many great athletes, however, I would say John Bol was my toughest opponent.
What is some advice you would give to an aspiring D1 athlete?
Always take the little goals rather than trying to reach for the big goals.
If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would it be?
I’ve always wanted to travel to Japan and see Mt. Fuji.
How old were you when you fell in love with the game?
5 years old.
If you could meet one sports hero, who would it be?
I would love to meet Steven Adams. I love his play style.
What is your favorite sports moment, as a fan??
Watching my second MLB game at the Dodgers Stadium and watching Kershaw throw 9 strikeouts.
