Ben Kolar is a 3 Star recruit who plays Tight End at Norman North High School. Kolar is ranked among one of the top recruits in the class of 2027 and is ranked as a top 20 Tight End in the class as well. In addition, Kolar is listed among one of the top recruits in the state of Oklahoma and is listed as the #1 Tight End in the state of Oklahoma. He holds offers from schools such as Iowa State, Miami and Kansas.

Who are some role models in your life?
My parents and siblings are huge role models for me. They’ve helped shape who I am today and continue to guide me on and off the field.

What are the strengths of your game?
I’m strong at gaining yards after the catch, and I take pride in having reliable hands.

What is your favorite memory of your career?
Beating Broken Arrow this year is my favorite memory. It was our first win of the season, and we dominated them by about 20 points. I had a great game, and that win gave our whole team a big confidence boost.

Who is the best player you have ever played with or played against in your career?
The best player I’ve played with is Mason James. When we faced Owasso, he scored five touchdowns and completely took over the game. He’s a playmaker.

What is some advice you would give to an aspiring D1 athlete?
Put in extra work, be coachable, show up on time, and pay attention to the little details. Those small things add up and separate you from the rest.

If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would it be?
I’d go to the Bahamas—beautiful views, good weather, and a great place to relax.

How old were you when you fell in love with the game?
I’ve always loved football. I used to play it every day at recess and started tackle football in 5th grade. It’s been a passion ever since.

If you could meet one sports hero, who would it be?
I’d love to meet Travis Kelce. He’s a beast on the field and someone I look up to at my position.

What is your favorite sports moment, as a fan?
Watching Iowa State beat OU at home when my brother was a freshman was unforgettable. Another top moment was seeing him score his first touchdown for the Ravens—proud brother moment for sure.
