Who are some role models in your life?
My dad. He has really helped me on a football standpoint but also with life—keeping me well-grounded and helping me pursue my relationship with Jesus.
What artists do you listen to pregame, to get you hyped up?
I like some different stuff. I’ll start off with worship music, then go to country, and finish off with something like YoungBoy. I usually just go with whatever the guys have playing pregame.
What are the strengths of your game?
I am very physical. I love being in the box, but I’m also comfortable dropping back into coverage. I’ve really worked on being quick, flexible, and strong this summer so my game is well-rounded. One of my strengths is my size and versatility—whether it’s walking down to the edge in pass rush, being a run stopper, or finding the football!
What is your favorite memory of your career?
My career is just getting started, but I’d say one of my favorite memories was playing in the 2024 FBU Freshman All-American game. It was a great experience and a great week building relationships with the top players in my class.
What is some advice you would give to an aspiring D1 athlete?
While I’m an aspiring D1 athlete myself, I’d encourage younger guys to work hard and trust in the Lord and His timing. Staying focused, working hard, and staying on God’s plan will only lead you to success.
If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would it be?
I’d go to Scotland and play golf at the Old Course in St. Andrews.
How old were you when you fell in love with the game?
I’ve always watched football. My dad bought me football cards to teach me the game and started taking me to games since I was born. I first played football in fifth grade and knocked a kid down blocking him off the edge. I knew then that I loved football and wanted to make it my career someday.
If you could meet one sports hero, who would it be?
I wish I could’ve met Kobe. His Mamba Mentality and the way he outworked everyone on his craft inspire me. He was a great leader, player, and teammate.
What is your favorite sports moment as a fan?
Football is my favorite sport, but I love watching the NBA. Watching Steph, KD, and the Warriors win the 2017 NBA Finals was a great moment because it was the first time I really understood how much dedication and hard work it takes to win a championship!
