Kameron McGee is a 5 Star recruit who plays Defensive End at Brother Rice High School. McGee is ranked as the 8th best recruit in the class of 2028 and is ranked as the #2 Defensive End in the class as well. In addition, McGee is listed as the #1 recruit in the state of Illinois. He holds offers from schools such as Ohio State, LSU and Texas.
Who are some role models in your life?
My role model would be my mom. She’s selfless, pours so much into her kids and family, and teaches me to have a good moral compass.
What artists do you listen to pregame, to get you hyped up?
The artists I listen to are Drake and Lil Baby.
What are the strengths of your game?
Some of my strengths are football IQ, physicality, explosiveness, and always being ready to play.
Who is the best player you have ever played with or played against in your career?
The best player I played with is Marshaun Thornton, and the best player I played against is Jordan McKinley.
What is some advice you would give to an aspiring D1 athlete?
I would tell them to keep their head down and work, keep grinding, and don’t compare themselves to others.
If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would it be?
I would travel to Greece.
How old were you when you fell in love with the game?
I would say nine years old.
If you could meet one sports hero, who would it be?
Odell Beckham Jr. — he’s my inspiration.
What is your favorite sports moment, as a fan?
As a fan, the Cubs winning the 2016 World Series.
