Mekai Brown is a 4 Star recruit who plays Defensive End at Greenwich Country Day School. Brown is ranked as the 125th best recruit in the class of 2027 and is ranked as a top 15 Defensive End in the class as well. In addition, Brown is listed as the #1 recruit in the state of Connecticut. He holds offers from schools such as Florida, Pitt and Syracuse.

Who are some role models in your life?
I’ve always looked up to my parents, Michael Jordan, and Walter Payton.

What artists do you listen to pregame, to get you hyped up?
I like listening to either rock, like Nirvana, Metallica, Led Zeppelin, or rap, like King Von or Lil Durk.

What is your favorite memory of your career?
I’d say my favorite memory was winning my first MVP in Little League football.

Who is the best player you have ever played with or played against in your career?
I would say the best players I’ve played alongside are either Peter Vomvolakis or Elijah Canty.

What is some advice you would give to an aspiring D1 athlete?
I would say to just keep working and stay humble.

If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would it be?
I’ve been very fortunate to travel a lot because of sports, and I lived overseas for a while, but I would say Australia.

How old were you when you fell in love with the game?
I would say third grade.

If you could meet one sports hero, who would it be?
I would definitely meet Michael Jordan.

What is your favorite sports moment, as a fan?
My favorite sports moment was witnessing the Malcolm Butler interception.
