Tavares Harrington is a 4 Star recruit who plays Cornerback at Mount Carmel High School. Harrington is ranked as the 85th best recruit in the class of 2027 and is ranked as a top 15 Cornerback in the class as well. In addition, Harrington is listed as the #5 recruit in the state of Illinois and is listed as the #1 Cornerback in the state of Illinois. He holds offers from schools such as Ole Miss, Louisville and Iowa State.

Who are some role models in your life?
One of my role models is my dad. He’s one of—if not the—most hardworking people I know, whether it’s in sports, his jobs, or providing for our family.

I listen to NBA YoungBoy, Nino Paid, and VonOff1700.

What are the strengths of your game?
I’m a long, physical corner with great speed.

What is your favorite memory of your career?
My favorite memory was winning state during my sophomore year. I played with some amazing seniors who taught me a lot.

Who is the best player you have ever played with or against in your career?
My teammates Jack Elliot and Havy Payne.

What is some advice you would give to an aspiring D1 athlete?
Work when no one’s watching, put in more effort than anyone else, and keep your grades right—everything else will fall into place.

If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would it be?
If I could travel anywhere in the world, it would probably be Dubai.

How old were you when you fell in love with the game?
I started playing football at 5 years old, and ever since, it’s been all I’ve really wanted to do and care about.

If you could meet one sports hero, who would it be?
Richard Sherman—he’s someone I really want to meet.

What is your favorite sports moment, as a fan?
Watching Tom Brady and the Buccaneers beat the Chiefs in the Super Bowl.
