The Tigers Next Star Point Guard: Xaivian Lee
Xaivian Lee is a 2022 recruit who plays Point Guard at the Perkiomen School. Lee is ranked among one of the Top recruits in the nation and is ranked among one of the Top Point Guards in the nation as well. In addition, Lee is listed among one of the Top recruits in the state of New Jersey and is listed among one of the Top Point Guards in the state of New Jersey. Xaivian Lee is committed to play at Princeton this fall.
Growing up, were you inspired by any NBA Players?
Since I was young, I watched Trae Young through college and into the NBA. I think he inspired my play style in many ways, especially with being smooth, calm, and confident on the court.
What high school is your biggest rival?
It’s my first year at Perk, so I haven’t played many teams. I know that in the past our team has had a school rivalry with Westtown, so I’m definitely looking forward to winning that matchup soon.
What songs do you listen to pregame, to get you hyped up?
Really anything with a smooth beat and flow like Lil Tecca or Gunna. right before games, though, I always listen to old me and average by Ka$hdami to get me locked in.
What is your offseason training like?
Last year during Covid my entire high school season got cancelled so I really focused on trying to get in a lot of in game reps and skill work. I tried to shoot everyday on the regular and go for runs during quarantine. this offseason, i’ll really be focused on being in the weight room and getting stronger so I can get physically prepared for college.
What is your favorite memory of your career?
Making it to the province (state) finals my sophomore year was a lot of fun for sure.
What parts of your high school game, do you hope to transition to the college level?
I definitely want to transition my playmaking and shot creating ability as a whole to the next level. I’m working on getting faster and more athletic so I can be more effective at this too.
What is your favorite food?
Spaghetti and Meatballs
What made Princeton stand out from other schools?
Princeton was my number one choice from the start because of the strong combination of academics and athletics. On my visits, I felt like I connected with the coaches and guys. I also really like the dynamic play style of the program and feel like I’m going to fit in well.
If you could meet one sports hero, who would it be?
Probably MJ just because of his legacy and insane competitive edge. I’d want to see it first hand and ask him about his experiences.
What is your favorite sports moment, as a fan?
Raptors vs 76s game 7 of the Eastern Conference Semi Finals when Kawhi hit the bounce shot to win it. It´s kind of ironic now because I go to school right outside of Philly.
