Growing up, were you inspired by any NBA Players?
I enjoyed watching players like Kobe and John Wall. But probably my fvorite player was Steve Nash.
What college team is your biggest rival?
Harvard for sure. The atmosphere of that game is like no other. The rivalry dates back hundreds of years ago and it is still as energetic as ever.
What songs do you listen to pregame, to get you hyped up?
Usually, I listn to a song by Lil Uzi Vert. Three songs from him are like 20 minutes, Sanguine Paradise, and That Way.
What is your offseason training like?
A lot of getting shots up and bodyweight astuff. COVID has prevented me from doing certain things so I have learned to adapt.
What parts of your game do you think, transitioned the best from high school to the college level?
Definitely strength and post defense. Those are two things I worked a lot on during my first year at Yale. Now I am looking to improve my 3 point shot and different ways to attack the hoop.
What are your goals for the upcoming season?
The biggest goal is to win the Ivy Tournament and get to March Madness. We want to defend our past two titles and show people that we are the best team in the Ivy.
What are your plans for after you graduate?
Not sure yet. I am focused on the here and now. One of the best things about playing basketball at Yale is that you have the opportunity to go pro, but also get a really good job outside of basketball.
What advice would you have for a young basketball player, who has dreams of playing D1?
Make sure that you are having fun with it. Basketball, recruiting, AAU and everything can get hectic and often can be a lot for a teenager to handle. As long as you are happy and having fun with playing then play to your hearts content.
If you could meet one sports hero, who would it be?
I would have to say, Tim Duncan. I try and take components of his game and replicate it to my own and I would love to see how he progressed throughout the NBA and what it took to win 5 championships.
What is your favorite sports moment, as a fan?
I was at the game when Paul Pierce hit the bank shot against the Hawks a couple of years ago and called game. Pretty cool moment to experience.
