Growing up, were you inspired by any NFL Players?
Ray Lewis was my man. I watched him growing up and I liked his mentality towards the game.
What high school is your biggest rival?
Rockhurst is the team you want to beat for sure every year.
What songs do you listen to pregame, to get you hyped up?
I do not get pumped before games. I relax and listen to soft stuff and nothing really specific. As an offensive lineman you need to have a level and clear head to be as consistent as possible. My physicality is just engrained in me so I have no need for music.
What is your offseason training like?
I take a weights class and I train on my own. I will be a future strength coach and I am very experienced with stuff like that so I create my own workouts.
What is your favorite memory of your high school career?
When I got my first solo sack against Park Hill my senior year.
What parts of your high school game, do you hope to transition to the college level?
Well I do not hope. I know my strength and physicality will transition. What I do need to focus on is my feet and explosive speed.
What made Iowa stand out from other schools?
Some colleges come off as if their begging. Iowa is too prestigious to beg for a player. They also seemed the most mature and showed extreme confidence in their methodology. They also did not blow up my phone everyday. They understood that I have a life too.
What do you want to accomplish on and off the field during your time at Iowa?
On the field I want to become an All Big Ten player and off the field I want to earn my degree.
If you could meet one sports hero, who would it be?
Quenton Nelson
What is your favorite sports moment, as a fan?
The 2019 Penn State vs Iowa game. I took a gameday visit and got to walk onto the field to the 30 yard line in the middle of a packed Kinnick night game as the players exited the tunnel.
