Rashad Weekly-McDaniels was born in, Saint Louis, Missouri and played Shooting Guard at Trinity Catholic High School. Weekly-McDaniels is ranked as a Top 10 recruit in the state of Missouri and is listed as a Top 3 Shooting Guard in the state as well. Rashad is committed to play at Central Michigan this fall.
Growing up, were you inspired by any NBA Players?
I was not inspired by any NBA player. I was really inspired by Ben Macklemore, he played in STL, then went to play at Kansas University. That is who I looked up to.
What high school is your biggest rival?
The biggest rival for us in high school was Cardinal Ritter. We would have sell out crowds every time we played each other.
What songs do you listen to pregame, to get you hyped up?
I listen to Meek Mill Blue Notes or Dreams and Nightmares or just like some La4ss or some YK.
What is your offseason training like?
Offseason training for me is getting kinda different for me because I am transitioning to college so it is more hard work and just trying to stay in top notch shape.
What is your favorite memory of your high school career?
My favorite memory of my high school career is probably winning the first district championship in school history or probably when I beat our rival for the first time.
What parts of your high school game, do you hope to transition to the college level?
I hope I get to translate my passing and the ability to shoot and stuff at the next level.
What made Central Michigan stand out from other schools?
What made me pick Central Michigan was kinda because it felt like home. It is a nice small town. It has not too much violence and there are good people there, and the coaching staff was amazing.
What do you want to accomplish on and off the court during your time at Central Michigan?
I just want to accomplish being a better student athlete honestly, staying in the books and staying focused trying to reach my goals and my dreams.
If you could meet one sports hero, who would it be?
If I could meet one sports hero it would probably be Kobe, want to see how his mindset was and how he sees the game and get some tips from him.
What is your favorite sports moment, as a fan?
Favorite sports moment as a fan is just watching my little brother play basketball because it reminds me of myself honestly.
