The New Virginia Tech Rising Star: David N´Guessan

David N´Guessan was born in, Maryland and played Power Forward at Mt Zion Prep. He is ranked as a Top 10 recruit in the state of Maryland and is listed as a Top 5 Power Forward in the state as well. He is committed to play at Virginia Tech.

Growing up, were you inspired by any NBA Players?

Yes by a lot actually. But Lebron James inspired me the most.

What high school is your biggest rival?

Did not really have a rival in prep school but I would probably go with Brewster Academy, those games were big.

What songs do you listen to pregame, to get you hyped up?

Do not really have any specific songs, but I listen to a lot of rap music before games.

What is your offseason training like?

Working out like always. Trying to stay ready when the season starts.

What is your favorite memory of your high school career?

Beating the #1 team in the country to win the conference championship

What parts of your high school game, do you hope to transition to the college level?

I would love everything to transition over to college, and I am going to work hard to make that possible.

What made Virginia Tech stand out from other schools?

The campus, the atmosphere, the fans, the team, and of course my relationship with the coaching staff.

What do you want to accomplish on and off the court during your time at Virginia Tech?

I want to be a good student, develop myself as a person, and on the court I want to be the best player I can be, win a championship with the team, and possibly get a chance to play in the NBA.

If you could meet one sports hero, who would it be?

Lebron James for sure

What is your favorite sports moment, as a fan?

Watching the 2016 finals and seeing Lebron and the Cavaliers win the championship.
