Kamden Tillis is a 3 Star recruit who plays Wide Receiver at Los Alamitos High School. Tillis is ranked as the 653rd best recruit in the class of 2027 and is ranked as a top 100 Wide Receiver in the class as well. In addition, Tillis is listed among one of the top recruits in the state of California and is listed as a top 30 Wide Receiver in the state of California. He currently holds offers from San Diego State, Hawaii and Delaware State.

Who are some role models in your life?
Definitely my parents. They’ve guided me the right way and blessed me with everything I have. Another huge role model is my trainer, Sirr Parker. He’s been working with me since I was 11, took me in like family, and helped mold me into the man I am today.

What artists do you listen to pregame, to get you hyped up?
Before games, I listen to Kendrick Lamar—tracks like Not Like Us and Family Ties get me in the zone. I also turn up Dreams and Nightmares by Meek Mill—that one always hits different right before kickoff.

What are the strengths of your game?
Speed and agility are major strengths of mine, but I’m not afraid to lower my shoulder and run through contact when I need to. I’m also very coachable—I take pride in being ready to learn and grow every day.

What is your favorite memory of your career?
Getting my first offer from San Diego State. In that moment, I reflected on all the long hours—training, film study, push-ups at home—and it all felt worth it. That offer meant a lot.

Who is the best player you have ever played with or against in your career?
The best player I’ve played with is DJ Mitchell—he’s one of my best friends and a 2027 QB from La Habra. His work ethic is unmatched. The best I’ve played against is Justice Croffie, a Princeton commit. Competing with him in 1-on-1s made me think outside the box—he pushed me to be better.

What is some advice you would give to an aspiring D1 athlete?
Always work hard and stay coachable. The people in your life—your parents, coaches—they want to see you win. Be open to correction, and never stop grinding.

If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would it be?
I’d love to go to Jamaica or the Bahamas. I enjoy relaxing on the beach, but I’d also be down to hit some football drills in the sand. It’s the best of both worlds.

How old were you when you fell in love with the game?
I was 5 years old. My dad signed me up just to see if I liked it, and from day one, I was hooked. He tried putting me in other sports, but I didn’t want anything but football.

If you could meet one sports hero, who would it be?
Deebo Samuel—no question. I’ve been watching him since college, and I model a lot of my game after him. He’s a physical runner who never backs down, and that mentality inspires me.

What is your favorite sports moment, as a fan?
When the 49ers beat the Eagles 42–19 on December 3, 2023. After losing to them in the NFC Championship, that rematch meant everything. I remember saying, “We gotta beat these dudes,” and when we did.
