The Lions Next Star Point Guard: Kenny Noland
Kenny Noland is a 2022 recruit who plays Point Guard at the Hotchkiss School. Noland is ranked among one of the Top recruits in the nation and is ranked among one of the Top Point Guards in the nation as well. In addition, Noland is listed among one of the Top recruits in the state of North Carolina and is listed among one of the Top Point Guards in the state of North Carolina. Kenny Noland is committed to play at Columbia this fall.
Growing up, were you inspired by any NBA Players?
Growing up players that inspired me where guys like Trae Young, Steph Curry and Chris Paul. I feel like their feel for the game and shooting ability sets them apart from other NBA guards.
What high school is your biggest rival?
At Hotchkiss our biggest rival is Taft, however we try to play each game like a rivalry game.
What songs do you listen to pregame, to get you hyped up?
I usually listen to Meek Mill, Lil Baby or Lil Durk before a game to get ready.
What is your offseason training like?
In the offseason, I try to work on my weaknesses. This offseason I will be in the gym working on getting stronger to prepare for the college season. I will also get a bunch of shots up.
What is your favorite memory of your career?
My favorite memory of my career so far has to be playing in the Barclays Center with Hotchkiss. Definitely a once in a lifetime type of experience, and we had a bunch of fun.
What parts of your high school game, do you hope to transition to the college level?
Being able to attack the rim and finish, and handle the ball at a high level, as well as shoot the three are things I hope to bring to Columbia.
What is your favorite food?
My favorite food has to be Thai Food.
What made Columbia stand out from other schools?
Columbia´s family atmosphere along with the coaching staff helped them stand out among other programs. As well as the opportunity that exists in NYC.
If you could meet one sports hero, who would it be?
If I could meet a sports hero, I would love to meet Steph Curry.
What is your favorite sports moment, as a fan?
As a fan my favorite sports moment would have to be Kobe’s farewell game, where he scored 60 points.
