Amir Hogans is a 2027 recruit who is an Athlete at The Hun School. Hogans is ranked among one of the top recruits in the class of 2027 and is ranked among one of the top Athletes in the class as well. In addition, Hogans is listed among one of the top recruits in the state of New Jersey and is listed among one of the top Athletes in the state of New Jersey. He holds offers from schools such as UNC, Pitt and Wake Forest.
Who are some role models in your life?
Some role models in my life are my three older siblings—Dean, Shams, and Summer—and both of my parents. They’ve all played a huge part in shaping who I am.
What artists do you listen to pregame to get hyped up?
I usually listen to a lot of Drake before games, but I also mix in Lil Baby, Gunna, and Future to get locked in.
What are the strengths of your game?
The biggest strengths of my game are my size, physicality, hands, and route running. I take pride in being a reliable target and creating separation.
What is your favorite memory of your career?
Winning our league championship during my sophomore year. That moment meant everything and showed me what hard work and teamwork can achieve.
Who is the best player you have ever played with or against in your career?
The best player I’ve played with is Cole Denson, now a running back at Duke. He was a big role model for me when I first started playing the game.
What is some advice you would give to an aspiring D1 athlete?
Trust the process. If you’re putting in the work and doing everything you need to do, the offers and opportunities will come. Stay patient and stay focused.
If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would it be?
One place I’d love to visit is Greece—it’s always been on my travel list.
How old were you when you fell in love with the game?
I fell in love with football at 9 years old when I played in my first tackle game. The adrenaline I felt that day was unlike anything I’d experienced before.
If you could meet one sports hero, who would it be?
I’d want to meet Lawrence Taylor—I’m a Giants fan, and he’s a legend.
What is your favorite sports moment as a fan?
Definitely watching the OBJ catch live.
