Olano is ranked among one of the top recruits in the nation and is ranked among one of the top Kickers in the nation as well. In addition, Olano is listed among one of the top recruits in the state of Illinois and is listed among one of the top Kickers in the state of Illinois. David Olano is committed to play at Illinois next fall.

What is your offseason training like?

I kick 3 times a week and do weight training

What is your favorite memory of your career?

Hitting a game winner in the fog

Who is the best player you have ever played with or played against in your career?

Aidan Gray, he’s committed to Northwestern and he’s one of my best friends. His work ethic is insane.

What was your reaction to getting your first offer?

My first offer was from Air Force and it was a shocking moment. Getting offers from schools such as Notre Dame and Illinois was very exciting.

What is your favorite food?

My favorite food has to be burritos.

When did you realize you were talented at football?

I realized I was talented at football when I started kicking with national trainer Chris Nendick.

If you could meet one sports hero, who would it be?

Kobe Bryant because he has been so successful in what he has done
