The Future Speedy South Carolina Wideout: Sam Reynolds

Sam Reynolds is a 3 Star recruit who plays Wide Receiver and runs Track and Field at Thompson High School. Reynolds is ranked as a Top 100 Wide Receiver in the nation and is a Top 20 recruit in the state of Alabama. In addition, Reynolds is listed as the #4 Wide Receiver in the state of Alabama. Sam Reynolds is committed to play at South Carolina next fall.

Growing up, were you inspired by any NFL Players?

Tyreek Hill because he showed me how you can be undersized and still use speed as an advantage.

What high school is your biggest rival?

I would say Hoover high school because of the long tradition and tension between us.

What songs do you listen to pregame, to get you hyped up?

 I listen to R&B music all day and 3 hours before the game I’ll play some Polo G, Kodak, and Lil Baby.

What is your offseason training like?

It’s a Love hate relationship lol we work so hard but you know it’s going to pay off.

What is your favorite memory of your high school career?

 I think it would be winning state or the annual trip to the beach the team takes during 7v7.

What parts of your high school game, do you hope to transition to the college level?

My explosiveness,speed, and route running also my ability to pick apart zone coverages.

What made South Carolina stand out from other schools?

Felt like home the built a great relationship with me and my parents. They were up front and honest about a lot of things when we started the process with them.

What do you want to accomplish on and off the field during your time at South Carolina?

Off the field I want to have my first degree in 2-3 years and start working on my masters & on the field I would like to play as a true freshman and contribute to winning bowl game and ultimately a national championship.

If you could meet one sports hero, who would it be?

Ryan Shazier I wanna pick his mind about the whole experience and how he bounced back because that’s a hard thing to handle.

What is your favorite sports moment, as a fan?

Chiefs winning a super bowl, I’m not a follower, I started becoming a chiefs fan when the drafted Tyreek or UCLA Softball winning a natty!
