Reed Ramsier is a 4 Star recruit who plays Interior Offensive Line at The First Academy. Ramsier is ranked as the 301st best recruit in the class of 2027 and is ranked as a top 15 Interior Offensive Lineman in the class as well. In addition, Ramsier is listed as a top 30 recruit in the state of Florida and is listed as the #2 Interior Offensive Lineman in the state of Florida. He holds offers from schools such as Alabama, Georgia and Ohio State.
Who are some role models in your life?
I look up to my dad and my grandfather. They’ve taught me everything I know. They want the best for me and want to see me succeed in life.
What artists do you listen to pregame, to get you hyped up?
I like to listen to rock music — Metallica, Alice In Chains, Black Sabbath, and Pantera. I’ll also listen to whatever my teammates have on the speaker.
What are the strengths of your game?
I’m very physical and can read the field well. I have good feet and can play all five positions.
What is your favorite memory of your career?
My favorite memory so far is when my teammates and I celebrated after beating Edgewater. They talked smack the whole game and wouldn’t shake our hands after we snapped their home winning streak. It felt so good to have fun in the locker room and dance with my teammates.
Who is the best player you have ever played with or played against in your career?
The best player I played against was probably Jadon Frick. He was a senior when I was a freshman at Boone. He would whoop me every day in practice, but it made me better. He was a great teammate and someone to look up to.
What is some advice you would give to an aspiring D1 athlete?
Keep working. Whenever you think you’ve made it, you haven’t. Stay humble, keep working hard, and have faith in Christ.
If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would it be?
I’d like to travel out west to Montana. That’s a place I want to live after college. Everything about it is for me — the scenery, the people, and just being outdoors.
How old were you when you fell in love with the game?
I was in 6th grade, my first year playing Pop Warner. One day at practice, I was nasty and put this kid on his butt. The feeling was so rewarding, knowing I dominated the person across from me.
If you could meet one sports hero, who would it be?
I’d really like to meet Tim Tebow. It’d be cool to talk about football and God — how he confidently shares his faith and talks about the Lord.
What is your favorite sports moment, as a fan?
One of my favorite sports moments was when LeBron won the Finals with the Cavs in 2016. I remember watching it on TV when I was 8. It was so cool to me.
