Weston Port is a 4 Star recruit who plays Linebacker at San Juan Hills High School. Port is ranked as the 401st best recruit in the nation and is ranked as a top 45 Linebacker in the nation as well. In addition, Port is listed as a top 35 recruit in the state of California and is listed as the #5 Linebacker in the state of California. He is committed to play at UCLA.

Who are some role models in your life?

My parents and coaches have always been great examples to me in helping me become the person that I want to be.

What artists do you listen to pregame, to get you hyped up?

I’m a big country guy so I like to listen to Cody Johnson and Chris Stapleton before games.

What are the strengths of your game?

Some of my strengths I think are my toughness and my instincts on the field as well as my love for the game.

What is your favorite memory of your career?

My favorite memory of my career is definitely beating our rival Tesoro on the last play of the game.

Who is the best player you have ever played with or played against in your career?

The best player I have ever played with is Braden Pegan, he plays at UCLA now.

What is some advice you would give to an aspiring D1 athlete?

I would tell them that being a team player and playing selflessly goes a long way. There’s nothing more valuable than a player that is coachable and contributes however he is asked to.

If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would it be?

If I could travel anywhere it would be Fiji.

How old were you when you fell in love with the game?

I fell in love with football when I was 8 years old.

If you could meet one sports hero, who would it be?

If I could meet one sports hero it would have to be Conor McGregor. His attitude and the way he approaches big moments has always been something that I have had a lot of resprespect for.

What is your favorite sports moment, as a fan?

As a fan, my favorite sports moment was getting to see BYU’s Mitch Mathews catch a game winning pass from Tanner Mangum against Nebraska.
