The #3 Wide Receiver In Washington: Mason Juergens
Mason Juergens is a 3 Star recruit who plays Wide Receiver at Olympia High School. Juergens is ranked among one of the Top recruits in the nation and is ranked among the Top 250 Wide Receivers in the nation as well. In addition, Juergens is listed as a Top 45 recruit in the state of Washington and is listed as the #3 Wide Receiver in the state of Washington. He currently holds an offer from Portland State.
Growing up, were you inspired by any NFL Players?
I felt really inspired by really any big Seahawks guys from the NFL, like Jermaine Kearse and Kam Chancellor.
What songs do you listen to pregame, to get you hyped up?
I listen to a bunch of different songs usually by either Drake, J Cole, or Travis Scott.
What is your offseason training like?
My offseason training usually consists of working out at least once a day, doing some sort of footwork drills, and stretching.
What is your favorite memory of your career?
Definitely when I broke my uncle’s longest touchdown record for 97 yards against Timberline, when I was a Sophomore.
Who is the best player you have ever played with or played against in your career?
I would have to say the toughest person I have ever gone against would be Tristan Dunn who is at the University of Washington, or Dave Prince Iuli who is committed to Oregon.
What was your reaction to getting your first offer?
I didn’t know many people that had any offers so I felt extremely blessed and thankful that the coaches wanted me and believed in me.
What is your favorite food?
My favorite food is from a place in Olympia called Bonsai, I always get Orange Chicken, Teriyaki Chicken, and Noodles
When did you realize you were talented at football?
I felt like I was blessed with my ability in football really in my Sophomore year when I didn’t play the year before, then I had a pretty decent year as a Sophomore when I came back to football.
If you could meet one sports hero, who would it be?
I would love to meet Micheal Jordan, he is the G.O.A.T. and I have always dreamed of meeting him.
What is your favorite sports moment, as a fan?
As a fan my favorite sports moment has to have been when the Seahawks came back against the Packers in the NFC Championship, or when the Huskies beat the Ducks 38-3 in 2017.
