In addition, Gerald is listed as a top 50 recruit in the state of Florida and is listed as the #3 Athlete in the state of Florida. He holds offers from schools such as Pitt, UCLA and SMU.
Who are some role models in your life?
My mother is my biggest role model. She’s always been there for me and done everything she can to support my dreams.
What artists do you listen to pregame to get hyped up?
Before a game, I listen to NBA YoungBoy, 940, and 1wayxxx. They help me lock in and get into the right mindset.
What are the strengths of your game?
My strengths are staying composed and not letting one bad play throw off my whole game. I also focus on uplifting my teammates and being a source of motivation on and off the field.
What is your favorite memory of your career?
My favorite memory is my first varsity high school game—I rushed for over 120 yards and scored two touchdowns. That was a huge moment for me.
What advice would you give to an aspiring D1 athlete?
Always listen to and trust your coaches. They’ve been in your shoes, won championships, and their experience is something you can grow from.
If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would it be?
I’d love to visit Texas. The level of football played there is different, and I want to see that culture up close.
How old were you when you fell in love with the game?
I started playing sports a bit later than most, but I fell in love with football around the age of 10.
If you could meet one sports hero, who would it be?
Eddie George. He’s my sports hero, and I’d love the chance to talk football with him one day.

When Lamar Jackson won MVP.
