Kaden Turner is a 2024 recruit who plays Punter at Samuel Clemens High School. Turner is ranked among one of the top recruits in the class of 2024 and is ranked as the 7th best Punter in the class as well. In addition, Turner is listed among one of the top recruits in the state of Texas and is listed as the #3 Punter in the state of Texas. He currently holds offers from Air Force, UTSA, and Incarnate Word.
Who are some role models in your life?
The biggest role models in my life are my dad and my brother.
What are the strengths of your game?
The main strengths of my game are definitely my directional ability and my adaptability. I’m really good at adapting to any adverse situation in game.
What is your favorite memory of your career?
My favorite memory was last year when I saved a high snap with one hand and was still able to get a good punt off. l’ve done it multiple times in practice so it kinda came natural and almost was sort of instinctive.
Who is the best player you have ever played with or played against in your career?
The best player l’ve ever played against in my career was Anthony Evans, he’s currently a freshman at the University of Georgia and was a very dangerous return man and receiver.
What is some advice you would give to an aspiring D1 athlete?
I would tell that individual to block out the noise and focus on the small details. Always practice with purpose and never just practice to practice.
If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would it be?
I’d love to take a trip to New Zealand, the scenery is outstanding and it would be an interesting culture to learn more about.
How old were you when you fell in love with the game?
I’ve loved the game since I was about 4 or 5 years old.
If you could meet one sports hero, who would it be?
I would love to meet Kobe Bryant, I’d love to pick his brain on practice regimes and just the mental portion of sports.
What is your favorite sports moment, as a fan?
My favorite sports moment would have to be when Argentina won the World Cup this year. I’ve always been a huge fan of soccer, and seeing Lionel Messi win was a great feeling.
