Leighton Jones is a 3 Star recruit who plays Center at Brownsburg High School. Jones is ranked among one of the top recruits in the nation and is ranked as the #3 Center in the nation as well. In addition, Jones is listed as a top 10 recruit in the state of Indiana and is listed as the #1 Center in the state of Indiana. Leighton Jones is committed to play at Iowa next fall.

Growing up, were you inspired by any NFL Players?

Growing up I always loved watching Luke Kuechly, his motor and toughness were exciting to watch.

What songs do you listen to pregame, to get you hyped up?

I like to listen to rap before games, specifically Lil Baby or Drake.

What is your offseason training like?

Offseason training is usually a combination of an after school football workout, with a wrestling workout 2 hours after.

What is your favorite memory of your career?

My favorite memory is beating St. Xavier in our home opener on ESPN my sophomore year.

Who is the best player you have ever played with or played against in your career?

Blake Fisher

What was your reaction to getting your first offer?

I was so excited and pumped up that all my hard work and determination had led me to getting a scholarship, something all athletes dream of.

What is your favorite food?

I love ribs and seafood.

When did you realize you were talented at football?

I realized I was good at a young age. Never really had a specific position but I was always really athletic and had really good instincts. Most likely 6th grade.

If you could meet one sports hero, who would it be?

Ray Lewis

What is your favorite sports moment, as a fan?

As a sports fan I got a opportunity to watch Iowa vs IU this season and that was an amazing experience as a sports fan and a recruit.
