The #2 Punter In Texas: William Duncan

William Duncan is a 2024 recruit who plays Punter at Obra D. Tompkins High School. Duncan is ranked among one of the top recruits in the class of 2024 and is ranked as the #5 Punter in the class as well. In addition, Duncan is listed among one of the top recruits in the state of Texas and is listed as the #2 Punter in the state of Texas. He currently holds an offer from Air Force.

Who are some role models in your life?

My parents, teachers, and classmates because they push me to succeed as well as themselves.

What artists do you listen to pregame, to get you hyped up?

None, I feel that if you rely on outside sources for motivation, you lose that when you stop listening to what ever that music is.

What are the strengths of your game?

Due to my experiences as a goalkeeper, I feel my strengths lie in my ability to stay cool under pressure.

What is your favorite memory of your career?

My first varsity punt, which happened to be our homecoming game as well.

Who is the best player you have ever played with or played against in your career?

So far, I would say one of my best friends. Offensive lineman Ashton Funk, 2024 Texas A&M commit.

If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would it be?

A wood cabin in the Rocky Mountains, near a ski resort.

How old were you when you fell in love with the game?

Freshman year, the team camaraderie and atmosphere made it extremely easy.

If you could meet one sports hero, who would it be?

Tim Howard, because of his ability to overcome adversity and become one of the best in the world.

What is your favorite sports moment, as a fan?

Running a fake punt for a gain of 15 to secure a 1st down vs a district rival.
