The #2 Offensive Tackle In Ohio: Dominic Rivera

Dominic Rivera is a 3 Star recruit who plays Offensive Tackle at Olmsted Falls High School. Rivera is ranked among the top 950 recruits in the nation and is ranked among the top 90 Offensive Tackles in the nation as well. In addition, Rivera is listed as a top 30 recruit in the state of Ohio and is listed as the #2 Offensive Tackle in the state of Ohio. Dominic Rivera is committed to play at Rutgers next fall.

What songs do you listen to pregame, to get you hyped up?

Last year it was definitely Knife talk by Drake and Ready by Lil Baby. This year it will probably be Jimmy cooks if I’m still into it by the start of the season.

What is your offseason training like?

I lift and do a speed workout Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. I also do either individual or group offensive line sessions Friday and Saturday. Tuesday and Thursday I’m watching film, stretching, and going through past games or plays.

What is your favorite memory of your career?

My favorite memory is definitely my first pancake in a varsity game.

Who is the best player you have ever played with or played against in your career?

The best player I have ever played with is undoubtedly Rocco Conti, my teams running back.

What was your reaction to getting your first offer?

My reaction was literally like a firework went off inside my body, I was so excited and couldn’t even think at that moment.

What is your favorite food?

My favorite food has to be pizza, there are so many combinations with it. A close second and third would be a burger or seafood.

When did you realize you were talented at football?

I feel like I have always had the pieces to be talented at football but it was when I put them all together I realized I could take this past high school. That moment was probably the second or third game of my junior season.

If you could meet one sports hero, who would it be?

I would definitely choose Joe Thomas. I would just talk to him and ask him questions about going up against NFL Defensive Ends for the first time and just how he did it at such an elite level for so long.

What is your favorite sports moment, as a fan?

Before the Browns got Odell Beckham Jr and he was on the Giants, I was a big fan of his. He was an awesome Wide Receiver and did it in a way which looked cool but was effective and productive. So my favorites sports memory as a fan is when the Browns got him.
