Israel Briggs is a 4 Star recruit who plays Tight End at Redwood High School. Briggs is ranked as the 145th best recruit in the class of 2026 and is ranked as a top 10 Tight End in the class as well. In addition, Briggs is listed as a top 20 recruit in the state of California and is listed as the #2 Tight End in the state of California. He is committed to play at Arizona State.

Who are some role models in your life?

My pops and mom because they are the ones that taught me everything. I had to step up to the plate at an early age because my mom died on December 5th 2021 and my pops is 68 with Parkinson’s disability.

What is your favorite memory of your career?

Winning the biggest rivalry game around my county.

Who is the best player you have ever played with or played against in your career?

I’ve played against Jimmie Burk, Brayden Stevenson, Demaje Riley, Jordan Crisp and Mikey Johnson.

What is some advice you would give to an aspiring D1 athlete?

Keep your head down and grind.

If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would it be?

I would love to go to Fiji for the scenery.

How old were you when you fell in love with the game?

I fell back in love with the game my freshman year because my friends got me back into football.

What is your favorite sports moment, as a fan?

When the Giants won the World Series.
