The #2 Defensive End In Virginia: Aiden Gobaira

Aiden Gobaira is a 3 Star recruit who plays Defensive End at Chantilly High School. Gobaira is ranked as the 427th best recruit in the nation and is ranked as a Top 25 Wide Defensive End in the nation as well. In addition, Gobaira is listed as a Top 15 recruit in the state of Virginia and is listed as the #2 overall Defensive End in the state of Virginia. Aiden Gobaira is committed to play at Notre Dame next fall.

Growing up, were you inspired by any NFL Players?

Growing up I didn’t think playing football was a possibility. I watched football just for the love of the game. The players I admired though where greats like Lawrence Taylor and JJ Watt.

What high school is your biggest rival?

Our biggest high school rival has to be either Madison or Centerville.

What songs do you listen to pregame, to get you hyped up?

My best song on my pregame playlist is “The shows goes on” for sure.

What is your offseason training like?

Training in the off-season is a lot of lifting and agility work.

What is your favorite memory of your high school career, so far?

Becoming a captain my Sophomore year during one of our district games is one of the best memories I have.

Who is the best player you have ever played with or played against in your career?

I’d have to say the best player I’ve gone against is Zach Rice For sure. Mans a absolute beast.

What is your favorite food?

Favorite food has to be a nice Steak.

When did you realize you were talented at football?

I didn’t realize I was talented at football like really talented at football until the the end of sophomore year.

If you could meet one sports hero, who would it be?

 If I could meet one sports hero it would most definitely be Eli Manning cause he won my giants two Super Bowls and is a legend.

What is your favorite sports moment, as a fan?

Favorite sports moment has to be when David Tyree made THE catch and we won the Super Bowl.
