The #1 Tight End In Iowa: Carson Rhodes

Carson Rhodes is a 3 Star recruit who plays Tight End at Nevada High School. Rhodes is ranked among the top 1200 recruits in the nation and is ranked among the top 60 Tight Ends in the nation as well. In addition, Rhodes is listed as a top 20 recruit in the state of Iowa and is listed as the #1 Tight End in the state of Iowa. Carson Rhodes is committed to play at Iowa State next fall.

I would say Megatron probably

Anything from 21 Savage

What is your offseason training like?

Lots of lifting and open fields, with extra agility work and route running

What is your favorite memory of your career?

I would say getting our first playoff win last year and balling out in that game. 

Who is the best player you have ever played with or played against in your career?

I’ve played against a couple D1 recruits and tons of D2 level guys, but the best is probably our Running Back who has yet to blow up, Cason Stevenson (junior). 

What was your reaction to getting your first offer?

I was super happy and it was one of the best days in the past couple years. 

What is your favorite food?

Mexican food

When did you realize you were talented at football?

I realized when I started to get a ton of views and gameday invites. I went to Iowa, Nebraska, and Iowa State a bunch of times and many other places and that’s when it really hit me that ya know, I belong here and I earned it. 

If you could meet one sports hero, who would it be?

I would want to meet Michael Jordan. 

What is your favorite sports moment, as a fan?

My favorite sports moment is storming the field after Iowa State upset Oklahoma State at home this past year.
