The #1 Sophomore In Wisconsin: Korz Loken

Korz Loken is a 4 Star recruit who plays Tight End at Iola-Scandinavia High School. Loken is ranked as the 122nd best recruit in the class of 2027 and is ranked as a top 10 Tight End in the class as well. In addition, Loken is listed as the #1 recruit in the state of Wisconsin. He holds offers from schools such as Iowa State, Wisconsin and Kansas.

Who are some role models in your life?
Some role models in my life are definitely my mom and dad. They’ve always been there for me and pushed me to get where I am today. I also look up to a lot of the senior guys on my team. They’ve taught me how to be a better teammate and how to work hard day in and day out.

What artists do you listen to pregame to get hyped up?
Pregame, I listen to bands like Flyleaf, Creed, Korn, Three Days Grace, Like a Storm, and Motionless in White. I know it’s not the typical playlist, but that kind of music gets me locked in and ready to go.

What are the strengths of your game?
My biggest strengths are my hands and my frame. When it comes to route running, I’m going to win—whether it’s burning a DB or going up and grabbing the ball over the top. Blocking is another big part of my game, and I take real pride in doing it well.

What is your favorite memory of your career?
I’ve got two that stand out. One is from 8th grade when our team went undefeated and we averaged 250 passing yards a game. The other is playing with my FBU The North team, getting the chance to compete against top teams from other states.

Who is the best player you’ve ever played with or against?
The best player I’ve played against is Brayton Fiester—he plays for Archbishop Hoban now and has a bunch of D1 offers. As for teammates, I currently play with my QB Jensen Rice. He just won state in the 100m and 100m hurdles, and his athleticism is next level.

What advice would you give to an aspiring D1 athlete?
Don’t listen to negativity. Don’t chase trends. And never stop working. If you want to be a real winner, you’ve got to make sacrifices—no drinking, partying, or bad choices. Make your dreams the top priority and chase them every day.

If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would it be?
I’d go to Florida and chill on the beach. Although, knowing me, I’d probably end up tossing a football around there too—it’s just part of the fun.

How old were you when you fell in love with the game?
I fell in love with football during the 2016 season watching Rob Gronkowski dominate. Seeing him out there sparked something in me. That’s when I knew I wanted to be part of the game.

If you could meet one sports hero, who would it be?
Rob Gronkowski, no question. He had such a big impact on me as a kid and still does now. The way he plays with physicality and energy is something I’ve always looked up to.

What is your favorite sports moment as a fan?
My favorite moment as a fan was watching the Seahawks win the Super Bowl in 2014. That team—with the Legion of Boom and Russell Wilson—was electric. That whole season was unforgettable.
