What artists do you listen to pregame, to get you hyped up?

I listen to a lot of J. Cole, Pop Smoke, and 21 Savage before games to get hyped up. This past season I listened to J. Cole’s recent album, “The Off-Season,” before every game.

I would say that my hands and ability to run the floor as a 5 are my biggest strengths. I think soft touch with the ball at my size sets me apart from other players at my position.

What is your favorite memory of your career?

My favorite memory from my career is the moment my high school team won our state semi-final game and made it to the first state championship game in school history. Being subbed out of that game and hearing the crowd and hugging my teammates was really surreal and emotional for me after seeing all the work we had put in throughout my career to build a program and get to a championship game.

I’ve played against a lot of great players in my career, but my sister, Olivia, is the best player I’ve played with. She has a really special ability to penetrate the paint and get to the rim, but also has a dangerous jumper as well. She is ambidextrous, which pretty much makes her impossible to defend.

What is some advice you would give to an aspiring D1 athlete?

My advice to an aspiring D1 athlete would be to find your niche and really develop that. Become unstoppable at two or three things until you are too valuable to be ignored. I would also say to never compare yourself to other athletes. Instead of focusing on what other players are doing, focus on yourself and how you are improving day to day. Everyone’s process is different.

I would say I was eleven when I fell in love with the game. It gave me a place where I felt confident and was able to compete, even when I was young. Especially being much taller than everyone else, basketball was a place where my height helped me compete and wasn’t something to be self-conscious about.

If you could meet one sports hero, who would it be?

What is your favorite sports moment, as a fan?

My favorite sports moment as a fan was when Mississippi State women’s basketball hit a buzzer beater on UCONN and ended their 111 game winning streak in the 2017 Final Four. I was a big Mississippi State fan at the time, and I loved watching Tierra McCowan and Morgan William play.
