The #1 Quarterback In Oklahoma: Cal Swanson

Cal Swanson is a 3 Star recruit who plays Quarterback at Ardmore High School. Swanson is ranked among one of the top recruits in the nation and is ranked among the top 80 Quarterbacks in the nation as well. In addition, Swanson is listed as a top 20 recruit in the state of Oklahoma and is listed as the #1 Quarterback in the state of Oklahoma. Cal Swanson is committed to play at Illinois next fall.

Growing up, were you inspired by any NFL Players?

My favorite was probably Aaron Rodgers

What songs do you listen to pregame, to get you hyped up?

I don’t really like getting hyped up, so I usually just listen to country music to calm me down.

What is your offseason training like?

I don’t have much because I do 3 sports, so those are pretty much my offseason training. I sometimes also get out on the field with my receivers and work on routes.

What is your favorite memory of your career?

When we blocked 2 field goals in a row to win the district championship last year

Who is the best player you have ever played with or played against in your career?

In 6th grade I played with this kid named Kalib Hicks, he’s now committed to OU. No one could tackle him in 6th grade.

What was your reaction to getting your first offer?

It was very exciting, I just knew I had to keep working

What is your favorite food?

I would go with pasta, any kind, pasta is my favorite

When did you realize you were talented at football?

I think whenever I first got into flag football when I was little, I was way ahead of everyone on it.

Baker Mayfield

What is your favorite sports moment, as a fan?

Watching this years OU-Texas game in real life, it was wild coming back down 28-7
