The #1 Quarterback In Ohio: Broc Lowry

Broc Lowry is a 3 Star recruit who plays Quarterback at Canfield High School. Lowry is ranked among one of the top 950 recruits in the nation and is ranked as a top 50 Quarterback in the nation as well. In addition, Lowry is listed as a top 30 recruit in the state of Ohio and is listed as the #1 Quarterback in the state of Ohio. Broc Lowry is committed to play at Indiana next fall.

Growing up, were you inspired by any NFL Players?

Growing up, I looked up to Nick Foles because he was just that underdog type of Quarterback and he took the Eagles to the Super Bowl.

What songs do you listen to pregame, to get you hyped up?

I usually listen to more calm music since I’m already jacked up for the game. My go to is country music.

What is your offseason training like?

Right after the season ends weight room wise, I usually do a volume/strength phase all the way up until the season. I go to a QB coach named Jim Ballard, who has really helped me develop as a Quarterback. Closer to the season I start to focus on power, and moving the weights as fast as possible. Along with incorporating more conditioning into my training as well.

What is your favorite memory of your career?

My favorite memory is playing Streetsboro in the Regional Semifinals, where we won 24-6.

Who is the best player you have ever played with or played against in your career?

The best player I’ve ever played against is 4 Star Defensive End Mike Hall from Streetsbro, who was committed to Ohio State.

What was your reaction to getting your first offer?

My first offer was from Youngstown State. Both of my parents went there, so it meant a lot to get an offer from my hometown.

What is your favorite food?

My favorite food is salmon.

When did you realize you were talented at football?

I realized I was talented at football my 7th grade year. It was my first true season at Quarterback, and that is when I started to take football a lot more seriously.

If you could meet one sports hero, who would it be?

I would like to meet Michael Jordan because I love his mentality and leadership in his sport.

What is your favorite sports moment, as a fan?

My favorite sports moment was when the Eagles won the Super Bowl.
