The #1 Punter In Alabama: Anderson Green

Anderson Green is a 2024 recruit who plays Punter at Northridge High School. Green is ranked among one of the top recruits in the class of 2024 and is ranked as a top 20 Punter in the class as well. In addition, Green is listed among one of the top recruits in the state of Alabama and is listed as the #1 Punter in the state of Alabama.

Who are some role models in your life?

To me, my parents are the biggest role models in my life because they are always positive and are always supporting me.

What artists do you listen to pregame, to get you hyped up?

I don’t typically listen to a whole lot of music pregame, but when I do it’s rap.

What are the strengths of your game?

I believe the strength of my game is my mental ability to still be humble after I make a kick, but if I miss one to be able to shake it off and move to the next one. Kicking and punting is 65% mental and to be a good specialist you have be able to be strong mentally.

What is your favorite memory of your career?

I don’t have a set favorite memory of my career, but being able to switch the field on a punt or being able to put points on the board with a kick is always something to remember.

Who is the best player you have ever played with or played against in your career?

The best player from my position that I’ve played with or played against would have to be my other kicker. He is really good at what he does and he always pushes me to be a better player.

What is some advice you would give to an aspiring D1 athlete?

Some advice I would give is to always work hard and never settle for average. Never settle for good enough because if you aren’t always wanting more, then it will be really hard to be able to go D1.

If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would it be?

If I could travel anywhere it would probably be somewhere in the Caribbean to get some relaxing time and to chill on the beach.

How old were you when you fell in love with the game?

I started playing my 8th grade year and I got moved to Guard and Defensive End, so I decided to try kicking because I had played soccer growing up. It turns out I was pretty good at kicking and it was something I have been very interested in since.

If you could meet one sports hero, who would it be?

If I could meet one sports hero it would probably be Ronaldo in all honesty, but if it were a football player it would be Justin Tucker for sure.

What is your favorite sports moment, as a fan?

One of my favorite all time moments would have to be Justin Tucker’s 66 yard game winning field goal. It was unbelievable to watch.
