Evans is ranked among one of the top recruits in the class of 2025 and is ranked as the #1 Long Snapper in the class as well. In addition, Evans is listed among one of the top recruits in the state of Texas and is listed as the #1 Long Snapper in the state of Texas.
Who are some role models in your life?
My biggest role models in my life are God and my parents. I feel like they have helped me to become the best version of myself day in and day out. I look up to them in every situation, everyday, everywhere.
What artists do you listen to pregame, to get you hyped up?
The artists I listen to mostly before games are Lil Baby, Meek Mill and Nardo Wick.
What are the strengths of your game?
I feel like I have multiple strengths I can bring to the table. If I had to pick just one, it would have to be my mentality. I love competing and I have a strong passion for it. Also, l am extremely calm under pressure. If anything, pressure brings out the best in me.
What is your favorite memory of your career?
I think my favorite memory of my career has to be when our team beat our rival to send us to the conference championship. That is sure to be a lasting memory.
Who is the best player you have ever played with or played against in your career?
The best player I have played with in my career no doubt is a player I am currently playing with, Karson Gordon. Not only is he a dynamic and talented player, he is extremely humble and kind. He is the definition of a team player and leader and that is going to take him very far.
What is some advice you would give to an aspiring D1 athlete?
The advice I would give any aspiring D1 athlete is to never give up. Perfecting your craft takes time and with that comes dedication. If you give up, you will never know how far you could’ve gone. There is always a path to greatness, you just have to be willing to take time to find it.
If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would it be?
I would love to travel to Europe in general, there are so many cool sights to see and foods to eat.
How old were you when you fell in love with the game?
I have been playing football for longer than I can remember. I come from three generations of college/professional football players and have looked up to them my whole life. I first started falling in love with football in 6th grade. My middle school coach at St. Francis, Coach McMillian, really molded me into the player I am today.
If you could meet one sports hero, who would it be?
I would love to meet JJ Watt. The reason I say this is because of the kindness and selflessness he shows to others. He is also an amazing player. Long time player of my favorite football team, the Houston Texans.
What is your favorite sports moment, as a fan?
My favorite sports moment as a fan would most definitely have to be either this past year or 2017 when the Astros won the World Series. Although I no longer play baseball, my love for the game and the Astros still remains strong.
