Braeden Gorby is a 2024 recruit who plays Long Snapper at Olathe Northwest High School. Gorby is ranked among one of the top recruits in the class of 2024 and is ranked as the 32nd best Long Snapper in the class as well. In addition, Gorby is listed among one of the top recruits in the state of Kansas and is listed as the #1 Long Snapper in the state of Kansas.

Who are some role models in your life?

Definitely my mom, as she has come from poverty to getting a medical degree with multiple masters. My dad for the same reasons and everything he has taught me.

What artists do you listen to pregame, to get you hyped up?

I listen to a lot of Lil Baby, Tom Petty, and Gunna.

What are the strengths of your game?

A big strength I have is I can stay focused and don’t discourage myself. I can also always keep people up and encouraged to win.

What is your favorite memory of your career?

My favorite memory is beating our cross town rivals to send us to substate for the first time in school history.

Who is the best player you have ever played with or played against in your career?

The best player I’ve played with is Lucas Conover, he was our center and was always so electric.

What is some advice you would give to an aspiring D1 athlete?

Never give up, you will get your shot at college football eventually.

If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would it be?

I would travel to Australia to box some kangaroos.

How old were you when you fell in love with the game?

I fell in love with the game in 7th grade.

If you could meet one sports hero, who would it be?

I would meet Jackie Robinson as he did what nobody else ever thought was possible, and I admire that.

What is your favorite sports moment, as a fan?

As a fan, my favorite moment was the Chiefs comeback to beat the 49ers in the Super Bowl.
