Caleb Blankenship is a 2024 recruit who plays Long Snapper at Ashdown High School. Blankenship is ranked among one of the top recruits in the class of 2024 and is ranked as the 19th best Long Snapper in the class as well. In addition, Blankenship is listed among one of the top recruits in the state of Arkansas and is listed as the #1 Long Snapper in the state of Arkansas. He currently holds an offer from Arkansas Pine Bluff.
Who are some role models in your life?
Some role models in my life are my parents. They push me to be the best person and athlete I can be!
What artists do you listen to pregame, to get you hyped up?
Before games, the team listens to some rap to get pumped up.
What are the strengths of your game?
One of the biggest strengths of my game is my IQ.
What is your favorite memory of your career?
My favorite career memory is beating our school rivals at their place my sophomore year! It’s always going to be my favorite exciting memory!
Who is the best player you have ever played with or played against in your career?
I have had the ability to play on the same high school team as Razorback signee, Shamar Easter! He is one of my very good friends and he will be very impressive in Fayetteville in a few years!
What is some advice you would give to an aspiring D1 athlete?
Some advice I would give to an aspiring D1 athlete is never stop working! Always be the one that your coach brags about to other teammates and coaches. Always compete and settle for nothing except the best.
If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would it be?
If I could travel anywhere, I would want to go to Dubai to see all of the advancements they have.
How old were you when you fell in love with the game?
I was 9 when I first fell in love with football. I remember my first peewee football game in the 4th grade and it’ll hold a special memory forever.
If you could meet one sports hero, who would it be?
If I could meet one sports hero I would meet either Ray Lewis or JJ Watt. I remember growing up and watching them play, dreaming that I would play on the same level as they did one day.
What is your favorite sports moment, as a fan?
My favorite sports moment as a fan was watching the Patriots win Super Bowl XLIX by picking the ball off at the goal line. It was one of the best football games I have ever seen!
