Gage Hurych is a 2024 recruit who plays Kicker at West Linn High School. Hurych is ranked among one of the top recruits in the class of 2024 and is ranked as a top 15 Kicker in the class as well. In addition, Hurych is listed among one of the top recruits in the state of Oregon and is listed as the #1 Kicker in the state of Oregon.

Who are some role models in your life?

My dad is my role model.

What artists do you listen to pregame, to get you hyped up?

Drake is my go to for sure.

What are the strengths of your game?

I have a strong consistent leg and I’m very versatile. I started at corner this past season, and played receiver too.

What is your favorite memory of your career?

I kicked a field goal to seal the state championship this past season.

Who is the best player you have ever played with or played against in your career?

The best player I’ve played with is 4 star Michigan State commit Sam Leavitt.

What is some advice you would give to an aspiring D1 athlete?

Never stop working, do something everyday that sets you above your competition.

If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would it be?

Italy

How old were you when you fell in love with the game?

The summer between freshman and sophomore year I fell in love with football.

If you could meet one sports hero, who would it be?

Justin Tucker

What is your favorite sports moment, as a fan?

I’d say the craziest sports moment as a fan was when I was at the Oregon vs Oregon State game this past year, where Oregon State won, Oregon State was down 31-7 at half, and I was about to leave the game but decided to stay for one more Oregon State possession. I ended up watching the whole game where Oregon State came back and won from a huge deficit.
