Nico Ottomanelli is a 2024 recruit who plays Kicker at Northern Valley Old Tappan High School. Ottomanelli is ranked among one of the top recruits in the class of 2024 and is ranked as a top 60 Kicker in the class as well. In addition, Ottomanelli is listed among one of the top recruits in the state of New Jersey and is listed as the #1 Kicker in the state of New Jersey.

Who are some role models in your life?

A few role models in my life are all of my coaches that have coached me in my life such as Ricky Krautman, Brian Dunn, and all of my friends and family who have supported me.

What artists do you listen to pregame, to get you hyped up?

A few artists I listen to pregame are Lil Baby, Eminem, 21 Savage, and Drake.

What are the strengths of your game?

The main strength of my game is my ability to thrive under pressure.

What is your favorite memory of your career?

My favorite memory of my career is my 46 yard field goal at Rutgers University in the State Championship.

Who is the best player you have ever played with or played against in your career?

The best player l’ve played with is Evan Brooks. He is a wide receiver. He has tremendous catching ability and he is definitely going to go far.

What is some advice you would give to an aspiring D1 athlete?

Some advice that I can give to any athlete perusing their dreams is to never give up no matter what anyone says.

If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would it be?

If I could travel anywhere in the world it would be to Italy to visit my extended family.

How old were you when you fell in love with the game?

I was 7 when I fell in love with football.

If you could meet one sports hero, who would it be?

If I could meet any sports hero it would be Justin Tucker. I’ve always admired his game.

What is your favorite sports moment, as a fan?

My favorite sports moment as a fan was when the Jaguars came back to win off of a game winning field goal in the playoffs.
