The #1 Junior In Kansas: Linkon Cure

Linkon Cure is a 4 Star recruit who plays Tight End at Goodland High School. Cure is ranked as the 40th best recruit in the class of 2025 and is ranked as the #2 Tight End in the class as well. In addition, Cure is listed as the #1 recruit in the state of Kansas. He holds offers from schools such as Notre Dame, Oklahoma and Florida.

Who are some role models in your life?

My brother would definitely be a role model for me. I grew up watching him do great things and I use it as an example to try and do better.

What artists do you listen to pregame, to get you hyped up?

I listen to a lot of artists like Kanye, Polo G, Lil Uzi Vert and more. I wouldn’t say I have a favorite though.

What are the strengths of your game?

I have a lot of strengths like speed, receiving, route running, length, elusiveness, and athleticism. Those are just to name a few, but I feel like I am an all around player. If I get the ball in open space I can make a lot of things happen.

What is your favorite memory of your career?

I would have to say when we won homecoming.

Who is the best player you have ever played with or played against in your career?

Zach Thorson would have to be, because of the way he can sling the ball.

What is some advice you would give to an aspiring D1 athlete?

Don’t let anybody kill your love for the game. Chase your dreams at all costs. It’s nobody else’s responsibility except yours to achieve your goals.

If you could meet one sports hero, who would it be?

Kobe Bryant for sure. I try to model my mentality after his. He inspires me.
